DUK DIK

The importance of members realising this was their Region’s event and many more marshals were required to run the event otherwise we would lose it, was emphasised.

This year all marshalling would be co-ordinated by Bill Pugsley to take the responsibility from Paul who had enough on his plate.

Forms were passed round for contact details of those willing to Marshall.

Group Reps took away forms to collect volunteer details from their groups, which must be returned to Bill at the next Regional Committee Meeting (15th February).

Regional Award

The Regional Committee wished to recognise the work done by George Legg who, under a year ago, had never used a computer but who, in his years term of office had become proficient at using a PC, done some brilliant work on political front, become Editor of monthly newsletter and unearthed many things on the web which might affect motorcycling.

Any Other Business

Bristol Classic Bike Show – Shepton Mallett 14/15th February.

In the absence of any contact from the South West Rep., Ian Moore asked if there was anyone who could take on and manage a MAG stand at this show.

Sheila Macintyre offered to make enquiries of the showground and to manage a stand with Marion Dick and possibly Donna Proctor.

[Post meeting addendum: It transpired, upon Sheila making enquiries, that the MAG South West Rep had booked a stand at the bike show and MAG representation was in hand]

Chipping Sodbury Bike Show

Following upon last years success i.e. MAG presence by Sheila Macintyre, Donna Proctor and Anne Gale; very small show, lots of interest and at least 3 members signed up on the day – details would be sought as to this year’s event.

[Post meeting addendum: Courtesy of Ed – date of this show is Saturday 15th May]
