On the 22nd April a charity ride took place in aide of Weston Hospicecare.
Lyn and Roger at their Sandford home prior to Fred’s Run
The event was organised by Roger and Lyn with the assistance of Weston MAG and Bridgwater HOG in memory of Lyn’s brother Fred who passed away from cancer, and had been cared for by the charity.
On the day over two-hundred bikers on all makes and models of Bikes and Trikes arrived at Roger and Lyn’s home from all over the West Country and even the Midlands and gladly handed over a fiver per bike to take part in the ride. The ride went up over the Mendips and down Cheddar Gorge meandering down to

It was hoped to raised about £1,000 but through the generosity of the bikers and public, about £2,800 was raised by this event. Lyn and roger would like to thank everyone who took part and helped out on the day for making this event so great, and hope to see you all at next years Fred’s Run, which it is hoped to be bigger and better.

Sadly there will be NO Bristol Bike Show this year due to problems with Bristol City Council! However The Aftershow Party WILL be taking place at the rugby ground on cribs causeway, so watch out for details.
Later this year Stuart is beginning a course at Bristol University, which will take, up all of his time. And will not be able to carry on maintaining the Bristol MAG web site. So Bristol MAG needs a new web master. There’s not so very much to do. Each month the events page needs keeping up to date, and emails sent to the email list by non-members need moderating. If you could do this work, please contact Stuart.
