Full ThrottleMid-Wilts MAG took the Regional stand to the Shires shopping centre in Trowbridge, to take part in a fund raising event organised by to Midlands Bikers in aide of the Air Ambulance Charity. |
Mid Wilts MAG displayed their new banner at this show. Despite it being a fairly quiet day though, we managed to raise £36 for the Air Ambulance on the day. Some members of the Goldwing owners club turned up, and one of the ladies from GWR enjoyed a ride around the car park on the back of one of the Goldwing’s (helmet-less of course!). Also at the event were stands by the Wiltshire Constabulary and the Wilts Air Ambulance. Andy Kerr. |
BikeSafe SouthwestThe regional MAG stand was also at the BikeSafe Southwest event organised by Avon & Somerset Constabulary, Somerset Road Safety Partnership and Somerset Council. |
Despite the inclement conditions and a slow start on the Saturday the event was well attended. Two clubs asked for affiliation packs, the Voyagers MCC and Mid Somerset & South Bristol MCC. Assessed rides were available with the Police Motorcyclists from Avon & Somerset and Devon Constabularies. Also in attendance were the Freewheelers EVS, IAM, ROSPA and Somerset Advanced Riders. |
Fred’s Run 2008Despite the inclement weather predicted for the weekend of Fred’s Run, the Rain held off and the sun even put in an appearance. |
Over two hundred and forty Bikes, Trike’s and Outfits turned up at Roger and Lyn’s home for the second Fred’s Run in aide of Weston Hospice Care, which raised over £3000. The route took the participants up over the Mendips, down thro’ Cheddar Gorge before meandering down to Weston-super-Mare, where after a lap of the sea front the Bikes parked up on the Beach Lawns. |
Roger and Lyn would like to Thank all the good folk who helped on the day and also all those generous people who donated monies to the Charity. |
